"I get knocked down, but I get up again."

"I get knocked down, but I get up again."

"I get knocked down, but I get up again."

The song lyrics from the 1997 song by Chumbawamba sound a lot better then the original line "Help, I have fallen and I can't get up." Kara McKeown recently made a video that we shared on our social media platforms demonstrating how to get up from the ground if you happen to find yourself down there. Follow Kara's Steps to Get Up from the Ground:

1. Do a mental check to make sure everything is okay. Did you hit your head? Are you bleeding? Do you feel well enough to get up? If the answer is YES, to any of the above, please call 911 immediately.

2. Lie on your side and then get onto you hands and knees.

3. Crawl over to a table, chair or coffee table.

4. Bend whichever knee is stroner and come into a lunge position.

5. Hold onto the chair, table or coffee table and put all your weight onto your bent leg. Come up into a squat position.

6. Hold onto the chair and turn yourself around until you are able to sit down into it.

Send this to a friend or family member that needs help getting up from the ground.
